Mirror meets Soling

Sailing is a very generic term which is the same as “messing about in boats!”    The enjoyment can be the same for everybody, whether they are sailing a small clinker dinghy, a 30′ cruiser , a classic yacht or a modern ocean racer.   Pottering around creeks and estuaries, coastal cruising, regattas or ocean passages are sailing acivities practiced by many.    We all get pleasure from sailing which is why we do it.

Those who do not enjoy being on the water, get pleasure playing golf, riding horses, climbing mountains and any number of activities.

For me, it was never really a job, more of a way of life, even if work was what it took to achieve the lifestyle…

Although Chuck’s Rigging is about rigging on yachts, I found that the best way to stay up to date and aware of potential problems owners and crew might encounter was to continue sailing.   I have specialized in racing on the Classic Yacht Circuits but also deliver all sorts of yachts around the world.   From 30′ to 180′, gaff rigged or modern, monohull or catamaran they all bring new experiences worth sharing.   You never know until you try it.
